I’ll insufficiently explain

…some other time why I’ve blown it all up again.  There are feel-good reasons.  Most include constraints on time and knowing that if I can’t do a certain scale well – hmmm, then maybe it makes sense to pull it back a bit.  If anyone’s curious, we’ll still get the football thing going in the Fall.  That’s always fun for me.

And there are always new, fun, time-consuming things to drown in.  I think I might try some of them.  I would worry offending anyone for blowing up the message board, but it was on life support eighteen months ago.  Thanks to anyone over the years who enjoyed that.  I always did.  The patient’s usually the last to notice that he’s dying.

I might trying writing here more – for “me” instead of for the health of a site.  I’ll kill the adsense, though ironically, they just sent me $100.  (All those viagra ads finally paid off – I hope those shipments worked well for you also.)  The ads paid for a small portion of hosting, but they feel even dumber now – which says a lot.

We’re going to reboot (in Hollywood-speak) the podcast here soon.  I can’t tell you how much fun it is to talk to Dan and Doug every week or so.  If that has an audience, great.  We might try to make an effort to make it more listenable.  But really – it’s an elaborate excuse to talk to Dan and Doug.  And that’s plenty reward, in my mind.

To those of you still around, who still check blogs (instead of singular devotion to the facebook/twitter loop that’s half-satisfying to me in its immediacy, but also half-nauseating) – feel free to participate here.  Even though it seems that I punish that loyalty sometimes as much as I appreciate it with the constant changes?… well, I do appreciate it.

Like I said, maybe I’ll attempt a real explanation at another time.
